Martijn Wilder AM is the head of Baker & McKenzie’s Global Environmental Markets practice.

He is ranked as one of the leading climate change lawyers by Chambers Global and International Whos Who of Business Lawyers, and was recently awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in recognition for service to environmental law, particularly in the area of climate change.

Wilder founded and serves as chair and/or board member of numerous climate change and emissions trading advisory groups and taskforces, including as chairman of Low Carbon Australia. He is also a Professor of Climate Change Law at Australian National University.

During this live chat event, Martijn will answer your questions around the recent clean energy legislation which, he will tell you, is not a tax.

“It’s a scheme well designed for the Australian economy,” he told INTHEBLACK magazine in February. “It will drive change and create awareness of the importance of action. While there is a cost associated with reducing emissions, the costs of continuing to pollute are far greater.”

Join us in this exclusive Live Chat event. Wilder will take your questions live from 12 to 1pm on 24 August. Sign up for an email reminder below.
